Sraff employed by Google have been warned against writing novels that make any reference to the company.

Internal confidentiality policies ban employees from putting in writing concerns over “illegal” activity, posting opinions about the company, and even writing novels “about someone working at a tech company in Silicon Valley” without first giving Google sign-off on the final draft.

Naturally, this has resulted in a lawsuit as staff caught up in this accuse Google of breaching California labour laws by preventing employees from exercising their legal rights to discuss workplace conditions, wages, and potential violations.

The maximum fine for Google could be almost $4bn.
