Simon & Shuster reports global revenue of $206 million for the second quarter of 2017, an increase of 10% from the same period last year. The figures for the UK were not listed separately.
Print and digital audio was behind much of the growth – as it has been with other publishing houses currently reporting. Bestselling titles for the second quarter of 2017 included Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare and I Can’t Make This Up by Kevin Hart.
Publishing operating income of $28 million for the second quarter of 2017 increased 8% from $26 million for the same prior-year period, mainly reflecting the revenue growth.
