The 2015 Brighton Prize is now open, with a £700 prize fund and the chance to perform to a live audience.

It will be judged by best-selling crime thriller novelist Peter James.

The organisers are looking for short stories between 1000 and 2000 words long. The top prize is £500 with two runners up netting £100 each.

Writers of the top ten stories will be invited to read their story at a live show and prize-giving event on 2nd November. The top ten stories will also be published by Rattle Tales.

Closing date: 7th July.
